Flex Major School is an American educational institution that offers foreign schools a dual certification and diploma program, allowing students to complete both their home country’s and the American curriculum simultaneously. We validate the national curriculum, and students are required to take, in a hybrid format, the remaining mandatory subjects to ensure that, by the end of the cycles equivalent to American Middle and High School, they receive dual certification or diplomas: one from their home country and one from the United States.
Which subjects are required to obtain the dual diploma? To earn a High School diploma in Florida today, a student must complete 24 credits, including 4 in English, 4 in Math, 3 in Science, 3.5 in Social Studies, 1 in Arts, 1 in Physical Education, and 7.5 elective credits. International students, after curriculum validation and equivalencies, may waive up to 18 credits, needing to complete a minimum of 6 at Flex Major School. In most countries, international students are typically required to take: four English credits, plus courses in American History, Government and Politics, Economics, and Introduction to Finance. For Middle School, international students in the Dual Certification program must complete a minimum of three credits—one in each of the following areas: English, Math, and Science.
There are different payment methods. Students must pay an annual enrollment fee, in U.S. dollars, in addition to the monthly tuition fee paid directly to the partner school.
The SAT, also known as the Scholastic Aptitude/Assessment Test, is a standardized American educational exam that assesses knowledge and skills in math, reading, and writing, with an optional essay. It is widely used as an admission criterion by universities in the United States, although it is not the only factor considered and is optional for international students at most universities.
The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized exam widely accepted by universities in the United States and other countries for undergraduate admissions. It assesses skills in English, mathematics, reading, science, and optionally, writing.
The AP Exams (Advanced Placement Exams) are standardized tests offered by the College Board in the U.S. and internationally. They assess knowledge in specific college-level subjects and can grant academic credits at various universities.
